JOiiNT Lab

The creation of a joint laboratory where the Italian Institute of Technology and Intellimech will work on robotics and mechatronics for industrial applications

Bergamo (Italy) – It is called JOiiNT Lab, the joint laboratory between the Italian Institute of Technology in Genoa and Intellimech, a research consortium for mechatronics promoted more than 10 years ago by Kilometro Rosso and Confindustria Bergamo. The participants also included 9 member companies, including Fassi Gru. From September, the laboratory will develop robotics and artificial intelligence projects in the industrial field.

The investment will involve the employment of 15 new researchers in the joint laboratory, with the support of other specialist personnel, about 25 operators in total, and will facilitate the real-life application of advanced technologies developed by the Italian Institute of Technology in Genoa, including remote smart working in the industrial field and collaborative robotics. The activities that will take place at the Genoa headquarters of the Italian Institute of Technology and at the Kilometro Rosso campus, where the operational headquarters will be set up in September, aim to strengthen the country's industrial system with innovation, the main driving force behind the revival of the national economy.
