A Fassi F1150RA.2.26 xhe-dynamic loader crane with L616 jib provides lifting services to the Royal Palace of Stockholm
Stockholm (Sweden) – On 19th April, a black Fassi F1150RA.2.26 xhe-dynamic loader crane with L616 jib was used in a lifting operation at the Royal Palace of Stockholm in Sweden. The Swedish monarch King Carl XVI Gustaf received 600 solar panels as a 70th birthday gift, with a view to increasing the official royal residence’s sources of renewable energy and contributing to a better environment.
With the use of its excellent vertical reach of 27.75 m, the crane lifted the solar panels to the palace roof where they will be installed over a surface of 1,000 square metres. The King himself oversaw the delivery of the panels, which, once fully installed, will provide about 12 per cent of the total electricity consumption for the 1,430 rooms of the castle. The crane service was provided by the freight forwarding company Bylund & Kokk Transport AB, based in the locality of Vallentuna.
