A Swiss public transport company achieves results with its F195A.2.23 e-dynamic loader crane
Bern (Switzerland) – Fassi cranes have a wide variety of applications and one specific sector in which the use of Fassi hydraulic cranes has significantly improved operational dynamics is the construction and maintenance of rail infrastructure. A prime example is this F195A.2.23 e-dynamic crane mounted on a railway chassis, which Fassi’s Swiss distributor, Fassi Schweiz AG, has recently supplied to the company Regionalverkehr Bern-Solothurn (RBS).
RBS is a Swiss public transport company which operates train, tram and bus services between Bern, Solothurn and Worb and is headquartered in Worblaufen. As the company expands its rail network and works to improve transport links throughout the region, the crane is used to build the new tracks, more specifically for lifting the steel rails and placing them into position with accuracy typically only found in large mobile cranes. Fassi combines compact dimensions with precision lifting which is particularly advantageous on rail works where tracks are laid side by side and there is less space to manoeuvre. The installation came complete with a covered operator’s station and seat, supplied on request.
