Together with the Fassi F2150RAL during the Juhannus celebrations in Finland
Helsinki (Finland) - 25th June. In this period the entire Northern part of Europe lives the so-called “midnight suns”, the nights during which the sun never sets. Every year in this period the festival of Juhannus is celebrated from 20th and 26th June. This celebration is one of the most important in Finland and brings the Finnish people in close contact with nature.
The image sent to us by Mr. Zaloranzky shows how the operator of the F2150RAL crane from the fleet of the Finnish company Kurko-Koponen spent this period of festivities. The religious celebration originates from St. John the Baptist, who is remembered on 24th June.
In Scandinavian countries, and therefore Finland, the festival of Juhannus is called the mid-summer festival, because the middle of the brief Finnish summer falls in this period.
