A Fassi crane fitted on a railway wagon used for construction work in the line section between Brescia and Milan
Romano di Lombardia (Bergamo - Italy) - February 12th. The high-speed railway line connecting Milan and Venice is in an advanced stage of construction. Over the next few days, work on the overhead electrical line work in the railway section between Brescia and Milan near the BreBeMi motorway is underway.
Among the various machinery involved, a railway wagon fitted with a Fassi crane is being used. The crane, thanks to the PLE accessory (basket) shown in the photo, carries an operator who can work in combination with those already on the main platform. Interventions made using cranes in the railway sector can be different in nature: movement of frames or overhead line posts, movement of materials on the overhead line, movement of maintenance materials, etc. The crane fitted on the railway wagon shown in the picture is a Fassi F235A.2.25 "e-dynamic" crane with a lifting capacity of 19.06 tons/m and a reach of 14.90 m.
