Metheringham Airfield visitor centre (England) - November 2015. A truck with a Fassi 72 tm crane belonging to the fleet of the Denby Transport company has been used to move a Dakota airplane. The members of Metheringham Airfield received as donation the Second World War Douglas DC3 Dakota plane from the RAF Transport Command Memorial, based at North Weald Airfield, in Essex, where it has been partly restored to its original military colours with the serial number KG651. At the old air military base of Metheringham (13 miles south east of Lincoln) there are nowadays a Visitor Centre and a Museum dedicated to preserving the memory of the RAF Metheringham base.
