Fassi Gru returns to the MotoGP™

The presence of the Fassi logo on the right arm of the new rising star in Italian motorbiking Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia

Mugello (Italy) – 1-2 June. The first instance of this dates back to 2007, when the Fassi Gru logo made its appearance on the Honda LCR ridden by Carlos Checa and managed by Lucio Cecchiniello’s team. Twelve years on, Fassi Gru returns to the MotoGP, this time at the side, or rather on the right arm, of the Moto2 world champion and rising star in Italian motorbiking Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia. The driver is a choice of partner who, together with Fassi Gru’s recent pairing with the skier Sofia Goggia, highlights the crane manufacturer’s focus on the rise of young Italian sporting champions as well as the desire to associate its image of continuous development and cutting-edge technology with sporting performance where speed and pushing the limits is a fundamental component, while always remaining focused on safety.

The twenty-two-year-old Turin-born rider who drives a Ducati for the Pramac Racing Team is taking part in his first season of MotoGP, and makes no secret of his desire to win the aprize for “Rookie of the Year”, in what promises to be the utmost expression of motorcycling sport. It is not an easy challenge to win, because the French driver Fabio Quartararo, riding a Yamaha, and the Spanish Joan Mir, with his Suzuki, have their sights set on the same goal. However, the results show that race after race “Pecco” Bagnaia is more and more confident on his Ducati and, following a fall in the first race in Qatar, came 14th in Argentina, 9th in Austin in the USA GP (his first time in the top ten), 23rd in Spain and 20th at Le Mans in France - a series of results that bode well for the up-coming races.
