FASSI IS A LEADER AT THE EUROPEAN TRUCK RACING CHAMPIONSHIP 2011
The Fassi Group took part in the Misano and Nürburgring legs of the European Truck Racing Championship 2011.
This year, in addition to the 1,000 m2 testing field and the stand in the paddock conference room, Fassi Gru S.P.A.’s participation in Misano included an important meeting with the entire Italian business network. In other words, it was a meeting with the very best representatives of sales and customer service who promote Fassi products and represent the vital connection between the market and the solutions offered by Fassi. Public turnout during the Italian event exceeded that of 2010 by 15%.
After the Italian leg of the European Truck Racing Championship in Misano Adriatico, Fassi Gru S.P.A took part in three days of racing (8-10 July) at Nürburgring, considered one of the most spectacular racetrack venues in the world.
The Italian company exhibited, on a 250 square metre area behind the paddocks, 5 outfittings including a F90AKXP.22 model crane on a Mercedes Atego, a Fassi F185AS.23 crane on a Volvo FH, a Fassi F950AXP.28 L616 on a Scania V480, and a Fassi F950AXP.27 L426 crane on a Mercedes Actros.a

The manager of the German Fassi branch, Wolfgang Feldmann, was enthusiastic about the public's response to the stand during the three racing days. At the end of the event he declared that "this event is of great interest for all those who, like us, work in the lifting sector”. The Italian company’s CEO, Giovanni Fassi, and its sales manager, Luigi Porta, were also in attendance at Nürburgring. “This is undoubtedly the first of many times we will be here at this event combining passion and enthusiasm for racing with an interest in the manufacturing company's ideas connected to the industrial vehicle world", Giovanni Fassi pointed out.
The European Truck Racing Championship came to a close on 9 October in Le Mans, with the victory going to German driver, Jochen Hahn.
