Fassi introduces a new crane model at the Solutrans
During the participation of Miltra Sas, exclusive importer of Fassi cranes in France, in the 12th edition of Solutrans, the local and “long-range haulage” tradeshow to be held in Lyon from 19th to 23rd November, the latest product churned out by the Italian company world leader in the lifting sector will be presented at Stand 160, Boulevard T – Indoor Pavilion 5. With approximately 800 exhibitors and 75,000 square meters of exhibition surface, Solutrans is one of the most important tradeshow events in the haulage sector at the European level.
This new crane, developed above all for the French market, and specifically for the public works sector, is characterized by the foldable assembled hydraulic tool (bucket), to allow the body to be free from obstructions and easier working underneath the hopper. This characteristic will turn into a sure advantage once the directive requiring that body used to carry crumbly materials be covered will be enacted at the European level. The crane also includes an innovative geometric solution that allows the reversed folding of the outer boom, in order to minimize overall dimensions when the crane is completely folded.
In addition to reflecting the usual philosophy of Fassi, which is to offer innovative solutions that improve performances without having to compromise product reliability, the design of this new model provides for the first time the chance to move the booms through a single chain ram assembled inside the outer boom. Thanks to the optimized use of the available space, all the hoses are fitted inside the booms.
The prototype on display at the tradeshow will be the “basic” configuration, with a third control station and a Hydrocontrol parallel distributor. A version is also planned with Danfoss compensated proportional distributor and RCH/RCS radio remote control with GAS (Grab Automatic Shake) device. This device, developed by Fassi, entails software control of the bucket movements while unloading materials. The advantages consist in the complete management of opening and closing movements, with smooth movements even at high speeds, with no uncontrolled reactions and also useful to ensure that any material stuck to the bucket walls comes off. Another note worthy of mention is that the crane base comes in two different versions, depending on where the driving position is assembled, either to the right or to the left.
The new F165AZ. crane is available in the version with two extension booms (.22); the hydraulic reach is equal to 8 metres, while the lifting capacity is 15 tm. New versions are expected to be developed depending on market requests. Production of this model is scheduled to start in the early months of 2014.
