New Fassi F545RA xe-dynamic model, 50tm crane suitable for 3-axle chassis
The Fassi F545RA xe-dynamic is the last model in the XE range. It is an all-new crane designed to complete the high capacity range between the F485RA xe-dynamic and the F560RA he-dynamic models. The new crane has been designed to build on the performance of the current smaller model in the XE range and take it further.
With this new model, Fassi achieves the goal of producing a true 50 tonne/metre crane with a footprint that is compact enough for installation on a 3-axle chassis.
The performance achieved is indeed remarkable when compared to the smaller model. The new crane gives a 10% increase in lifting capacity with just a 3% increase in weight. The power-to-weight ratio benefits from the outrigger spread having been increased to 7.8 metres, ensuring stability for challenging lifts. The footprint of the machine has increased by only 85 mm, therefore maintaining the compact dimensions of the smaller F485RA.
As with all Fassi cranes, the new model has gone through a rigorous fatigue test of 200,000 working cycles – equivalent to 10 years of normal typical operations – to verify the durability of the design.
The crane is offered in different versions with up to eight hydraulic extensions. To further increase the working area, various jib combinations are provided to meet every need.
It has a maximum load moment of 53 tonne-metres (518 kNm) and a maximum hydraulic outreach of 20.80 metres with all eight boom sections. This reach becomes 24.90 metres with the addition of manual extensions.
The F545RA is a continuous rotation crane with the option of double motor reducer. It is supplied as standard with the proven control system FX500, the D850 distributor bank, the Fassi RCH / RCS radio remote control and the FSC-S or H stability control.
