The Fassi-sponsored truck driven by Gerard De Rooy of the Petronas De Rooy IVECO team finishes in 4th place in the Africa Eco Race 2018
Dakar (Senegal) – On 14th January the participants of the Africa Eco Race 2018 contested the 12th and final stage of the competition, ending in Dakar, Senegal’s capital city. Fassi joined with Petronas De Rooy IVECO to support the Dutch truck driver Gerard De Rooy in the important rally raid event, who gave a very satisfactory performance, attaining consistently good times throughout all stages of the challenging race, rarely falling out of the top 10, and finally achieving the overall position of 4th place and 1st place in the truck category.

Nador (Morocco) – On the 2nd January, the 10th edition of the world-famous rally raid, the Africa Eco Race, got underway in Nador, Morocco, with the Fassi-sponsored Petronas De Rooy IVECO team getting off to a good start in the first stage. The race includes the diverse categories of motorbikes, quads, SSVs, cross-country vehicles and trucks and will end on 14th January in Dakar, Senegal, having covered a total distance of approximately 6,500 km.
