2015 Calendars for the eni FIM Superbike World Championship
Barcelona (Spain), November 17th. Today the provisional calendars of the 2015 FIM Superbike World Championship, the FIM Supersport World Championship, the FIM Superstock 1000 Cup and the FIM Europe Superstock 600 Championship are been communicated.
Barcelona (Spain), Monday 10 November 2014 – Dorna WSBK Organization and the FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme) are glad to announce that a new circuit will enter the WSBK calendar in 2015. Chang International Circuit, in Buriram, Thailand, will host the eni FIM Superbike World Championship for the first time ever in the history of the competition, next 20-22 March 2015. The agreement between DWO and the local organiser consist in a 3-year contract.
Doha (Qatar), Sunday 2 November 2014 – Sylvain Guintoli (Aprilia Racing Team) is the 2014 eni FIM Superbike World Champion after a nail biting season final race held under floodlights at the Losail International Circuit. The Frenchman took the lead on lap 5 and, courtesy of a strong race pace and a new lap record of 1’57.906, he pulled a solid gap on the chasing duo of Jonathan Rea (Pata Honda World Superbike) and Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team) to take his first career double and the crown.
The FIM Superbike World Championship will be present at the 72th International Motorcycle Exhibition which will take place in Milan (Italy), Rho Fair from 04th till 09th November 2014. Barcelona (Spain), Monday 27th October 2014 - The final round of the 2014 eni FIM Superbike World Champion takes place this weekend at the Losail International Circuit in Doha, Qatar. For the first time in WSBK history, the event will be held under floodlights thanks to the impressive lighting system that powers the entire venue, allowing riders to race under conditions that are similar to daylight.
